This present book entitled Tribal and Sustainable Development is the outcome of the Research work in the field of sustainable development and bio-diversity conservation has been carried out among the selected tribal Communities in the three different ecological setting (viz Hilly Zone, Chotanagpur Platue Zone and Coastal Zone) in the State of West Bengal. The major issues like gradual depletion of our global resources over the last century in one Hand and conservation of the available resources for future human interests on the other has been addressed in this book. The information gathered from the field has been interpreted in view of tackling the major issues to overcome the problems faced by the tribal communities has been reflected as a set of Policy guidelines. In view of conceptual Framework of 'Sustainable Development' in reality what is happening from the angle of Sustainability has been discussed critically. No doubt the contents of the book will give such feedback to the policy makers and other implementing agencies who are involved themselves for carrying out.
