In this book, an attempt has been made to bring ti light the historical significance of the Raichur Fort. The book consists of several chapters providinfg a historical backdrop to the region. The inscription stidied in the book are analysed and also transliterated. The architectural features and a descriptive account of the strctural monuments now extant inside the fort supplemented with maps and plates gives a vivid picture of the fortress town to the under.
