DESCRIPTION
Present volume consists 31 papers categorized under three explicit sections contributed by noted scholars and social scientists. The themes of discussion are: the development philosophy and policy resolutions, natural resource management with specific thrust upon the land, forest and water resources, employment generation and human resource management. The fourth section of the volume consists of discussions on seminar proceedings conducted under various technical sessions.
The volume consists of both those thematic papers as well as action researches as may be of immense practical relevance for the policy formulation in the Uttaranchal state. It is hoped that the volume will throw open such inferences also which are not only relevant for the state but also have far-reaching applications at a national and international level in the context of developmental planning. It is also hoped that the volume will act as a crucial document both for researchers and planners through providing them with vital information about the social economy of Uttaranchal.
