This revised edition of "Ravana and Lanka" is a critical and historical analysis of Ravana and his Lanka. This edition has been redesigned into seven chapters. The very first chapter deals with the characteristic features of Ravana and his empire Lanka. Second chapter gives focus on ethnic history and composition of Ravana's tribes. Geographical identification of Lanka has been discussed in third chapter. Fourth chapter examines the literary justification of the location of Lanka. Fifth chapter gives detail about the description of Lanka in Sinhalese Ramayana. Sixth chapter reviews the life history of Ravana described in "Hikayat Maharaja Ravana" in the Indonesian Version of the Indian Ramayana. Weapons used in Lanka war have been discussed in the last chapter of this book.
