The geographical sketches of eminent freedom fighters who spent their whole life for the attainment of Swaraj have been depicted in these volumes. Indeed it is a very useful information on various phases of freedom struggle which lasted for more than six decades.
The freedom fighters fought the Anti-Raj and Swaraj-War under the flag of the Congress in a non-violent way. They were greatly influenced by the Gandhian technique of non-violent Satyagraha. In all their sacrifices were unique in the annals of Indian sub-continent. Not caring for the confiscation of personal property, the plunged into the freedom struggle with full discipline and confidence. It is evident that they had full faith in the non-violence technique of the Congress Party.
Several Satyagrahis were deported to Andaman Islands where they were confined to solitary cells for years. They were ordered to undertake arduous and difficult task which wrecked their physique. But they knew that their aim of life was the attainment of Swaraj.
The role of revolutionaries have also been highlighted in these volumes. Thus these volumes will prove useful for parliamentarians, social scientists, teachers and students in India and abroad.
