At the present time there is no comprehensive book, either of a theoritical or practical nature, dealing with those insects and Acari which are of importance from the medical standpoint. This want has been actually felt by medical officers and others taking postgraduate cource in Tropical Medicine, and this book has been written primiarly for them.
