This catalogue is based on the paintings sent by Germany and exhibited by National Museum of India. The German Democratic Republic sent an important exhibition of paintings by old masters including those by Cranach, Rembrandt, Rubens, Titian and Tintoretto. The catalogue has a running text on paintings. Apart from the printed text, the catalogue has both colour and black and white paintings by famous painters. These paintings are accompanied by captions and notes detailing the size, style and kind of painting.
