The Kashmir The History of Himalayan Valley, very often called the 'Switzerland of India' is so attractive that millions of people from several regions of India and abroad pass a few months in costly hotels, lodges and house-boats. Its rich culture developed in several hundred years during the reigns of Hindu, Mughlas, Afghan and other rules. New structures limit up by these rulers made this region much attractive and enriched the socioeconomic life of its people. This work would be a useful study for students, teachers and scholars interested in the Himalayan valley in various spheres. Indeed the contributions by eminent academics have greatly enriched this work.
