This work is the first illustrated account of the West Himalayan ferns. The first volume contained an account of 28 fern families and 172 species and 10 hybrids. Volume 2 contains account of 16 families and 164 species and 4 hybrids. The entire flora thus lists 360 ferns (including 25 fern hybrids).
