Ladakh, once the meeting ground of ancient tribes, became Ladakh Kingdom first time in 10th century A.D. when King Lha-chen-dpal-gyi-gon established his place at shey. Since then upto 1834 it was remain indipendent counrty after it J & K. state.
The present volume attempts to Study the history, culture, Religion and present developmental activities in Ladakh. It also studies the eco-cultural changes and the living standard of the Ladakhis which is taking place due to the various developments in the area.
