PREFACE:- Rig-'dzin 'Ja'-tshon-snying-po alias Las-'phro-gling-pa (1585-1656) was one of the most revered rediscoverors of gter-ma of the Tibetan tradition. The dkon mchog spyi 'dus rites spread throughout the Lamaist world and are, by no means, confined to followers of the Rnying-ma-pa tradition.
The present volume comprises a reproduction of an incomplete manuscript from the library of the Pad-bkod Ri-bo-che Rje-drung of the writings of 'Ja'-tshon-snying-po. The collection was known as the 'Ja' tshon bka' 'bum. The present manuscript is the only example so far reported in India: It is hopelessly corrupt. Because of the importance of 'Ja'-tshon-snying-po, it seems not without merit to have it published as it is.
The publication of this text may spur the revelation of a more correct manuscript.
