ABOUT THE BOOK:
Radicalism and militancy, political instability, state-terrorism nexus, and growing international interventions make South Asia amongst the most complex security terrains of this age. Counter-Terrorism in South Asia, an outcome of the ORF-Heritage Dialogue on responding to the pervasive phenomenon of terror, is a timely addition to the growing body of literature on terrorism in the region. The two-day dialogue, held in New Delhi in July 2010, involved faculty from Observer Research Foundation, The Heritage Foundation and eminent experts from the United States and India. These chapters, authored by acclaimed security practitioners, foreign policy advisers and researchers, present a contemporary analysis of subjects such as ‘Af-Pak’ strategy, US-India cooperation, geopolitics of terrorism, insurgency, radicalisation, and nuclear proliferation. Counter-Terrorism in South Asia will be extremely relevant to security practitioners, policy analysts and researchers.
