DESCRIPTION
The need of Moss Flora of India has long been felt in this country. This book, based on author's own observations extended over three decades, supplemented by notes of interest by other eminent taxonomists, provides an authentic taxonomic account of classes and genera of all mosses found in India and the neighbouring countries. Keys for identification have been provided for all taxa up to the species level. In order to stimulate further research in this field, attention has been drawn to the taxonomic muddles. The information given in the Prologue will prove very useful for the beginners. The book is useful for the teachers, students and research workers, and all others interested in mosses.
